Valencia is situated in the centre of the east coast of Spain. It is a cosmopolitan, open plane city, with a population of about one million, making it the third largest city in Spain after Madrid and Barcelona.
“Valencia is a modern, dynamic, Mediterranean city, open to all cultures, where you can learn Spanish and meet friends which you may keep for the rest of your life. Wandering through the streets you will discover Valencia, a city full of life.”
On the other hand Valencia has a long history (more than 2000 years), dating back to the Greeks and Phoenicians, although it was the Romans and Muslims who left their mark on the city. Valencia´s past is reflected in every building and street you pass, when strolling around the city.
